Teen lounge

The lounge is a place for middle and high school-age youth to hang out with friends, and access academic, social, cultural, recreational, and wellness programs. Programming is offered Monday through Friday from 3 pm and 6 pm. Staff and volunteers from UW Madison, Edgewood College, MATC and the community are available for one-to-one tutoring and academic support. Teen Nights provide regular social outlets, and organized outings.

Youth employment

Giving Garden and Community Arts Crew are Bayview’s summer youth employment programs. Participants ages 13-18 learn job readiness skills while working on community arts projects and in an organic garden that provides fresh produce for the Bayview Food Pantry.

YAAS - Youth advocacy and support program

YAAS is a hybrid of group programming, individual support, and specialized resource referrals for Middle and High School youth. This unique program aims to destigmatize conversations around mental health, increase feelings of emotional and social wellbeing, deconstruct daily challenges, and provide a robust system of support for teenagers.
