Delicious Dishes & Outstanding Entertainment Highlight Experience the world but leave your passport at home. The 24th annual Bayview Triangle Ethnic Fest is back this year with more food and fun. Sample savory treats from the south, spice up your day with some Jamaican jerk chicken and venture into something new from Vietnam or Cambodia. Once your palette’s had its fill, be sure to check out the cultural entertainment promising to be music to your ears. Whether it’s Atimevu Drum and Dance, Salaam Shalom or the Dando Mambo Dance Company, if you don’t like one beat, just walk a few steps and no doubt your feet will be tapping. Food and music isn’t the only fun at Ethnic Fest, there’s plenty for your kids as well. Make a splash in the dunk tank, scoop up some snowcones, check out some creepy crawly critters from the Vilas Zoo, or pretend to be a clown through face painting. This year there’s also a special focus on fitness featuring a tetherball tournament along with tug-of-war. The fun starts Sunday, August 17, 2008 at 11:00a.m. and lasts until 6:00p on the corner of Park St, Regent St. at Braxton Pl. Festival programs with a complete schedule of activities and entertainment times are available at information booths on site. Admission to the festival is free, although donations are appreciated.
