Madison, Wisconsin (July 18, 2005) – The Bayview Foundation will host its popular festival celebrating culture and global community at its 21 st Annual Triangle Ethnic Fest on Sunday, August 21, 2005 in one of the most historically documented neighborhoods in Wisconsin: the historic Triangle of Regent, Washington and Park Street in Madison. Hailed as “a unifying force in drawing the elderly, individuals with disabilities and family residents of the area together,” 2005 promises to be a banner year for the Triangle Ethnic Fest. From the diverse entertainers, assorted arts and crafts makers, and the unique ethnic food offerings of the vendors to the wide variety of activities for children, this festival features something for everyone, for all ages and all interests. Continuous outdoor entertainment will be provided on two stages and include Atimevu Drum & Dance, The Folklore Village International Dancers, Greenbush Reunion Dancers, Meenakshi Ganesan & the Kalaanjali Dancers, Mesoghios Greek Troupe, The Oak Street Ramblers, Okinawan Taiko Drummers of Wisconsin, Qeej Boys (Bamboo Boys), Sadira & the Riad Dance Company, Sergei Belkin (Russian International Accordionist), Tiawanaku, United Refugee of Southern Wisconsin’s Sun Shines (Hmong Dance), and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Breakdance Club

Indoor entertainment will include an all-day children’s art exhibit, traditional Italian bakery, and classical Indian dance. Family entertainment will continue with endless children games and prizes, critters and creepy crawlers from Vilas Zoo, local police and firemen, a dunk tank and moon walk.

Food booths will be plentiful, with everything being served from smoothies to gyros, from Chicago hotdogs to southern specialties, from Thai, Vietnamese and Cambodian food to Jamaican cuisine, and from Italian baked goods to ice cream treats.

Festival goers will also have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction to win prizes ranging from a packer football, Pleasant Co. dolls, golf at House on the Rock, and more!

A festival program will be available at the information booths with a complete schedule of activities and entertainment times . There is no admission fee to attend the Annual Triangle Ethnic Fest, although a parking donation is requested in some lots. Hours of the festival are Sunday, August 21, 2005, 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
